..jc tiuseco, 23, basketball player from the san sebastian college was proclaimed as winner in the first season of survivor philippines, he won 3 million pesos worth of cash prize(tax free), a car, and a souvenir ball which symbolizes as the first ever pinoy sole survivor and let's not forget one thing that is sure in pinoy shows, that is a chance to enter show business.

i never really got to watch the filipino version of survivor, considering it was gma7 that got the copyrights, i really wish it was abs-cbn that had it. honestly, the only episode that i watched is the reunion special last sunday.

in the first two weeks of the show, i already knew who won the game. spoilers were already spilled out to some viewers. if you happen to be a fan of the original survivor, you will easily notice that the location where they played, and almost all of the challenges, are all indeed recycled. the original survivor in the u.s. is still as good as ever.

another unbelievable thing that happened with this pinoy version is that there is what they call "boto ng bayan" wherein us, filipinos have a say in the game in case of a tie.

i also can't believe on how much money the pinoy castaways gets when they get home considering the order of their cast-off. i believe in the original version, the second placer gets about $700 to $800 gran. but here, the consolation for the second placer is only 300k pesos, which of course is quite little considering that the sole survivor gets 3m pesos.

it was also this very first season that the sole survivor was also the one who won the car challenge. if you haven't known, never in the original survivor series, has a car winner won the title as sole survivor. that is why they say that the car is a curse.
