..i have known someone who is a natural problem solver. he's a fil-am friend of mine. i wish i could be like him, he's so cool when it comes to solving his own problems and others problem as well. he easily gets out of a particular problem or situation in a snap. sometimes i wonder how he manages his problems.

typical filipinos handle problem so lightly as if the problem doesn't exists. unfortunately, i am not part of the typical filipino bracket. as to how i see them, they are fond of procrastinating. the good thing though is that they always seem to be happy besides having so many problems at hand. they always think of problems as if they were a joke on them.

..i had this dog named shelby, as seen in the picture. she's a labrador given to us by my dad's colleague. she's very beautiful, and i like stroking her golden fur, and cute stance. this picture reminds me the day before she got very sick which lead to her death.

i named this dog shelby because it so happened that i was watching the series smallville wherein the episode was about two dogs, one named shelby and the other one i forgot the name. one more cool thing about it is, they were injected crushed meteorite which make them really strong, as in they can destroy steel in no time. in the episode, they were used as robbers. well, of course i didn't name my dog shelby for that reason. haha!

i still wish i still have her at home. some people that i know, and that my mom knows gave us puppies us well, but they are just street dogs, i loved them as well but unfortunately, they died as well. huhu!

..nick and starr(siblings) won the race around the world. miles and miles of journey in a race for a million dollars, they may have not enjoyed the sceneries of places they've been since they're on a race but surely have enjoyed the green bag.

this is one of the seasons that i was able to watched 80% of the episodes. the last time that i was able to watch a season of the amazing race, was the season wherein it was a family that was on the race.

at the very start, nick and starr were already considered as power players and they almost dominated the race. both are extremely driven and competitive, especially with one another. they almost always end up as first placer. they also had one time that they almost got eliminated from the game but still made it till the end. they actually believe that their charisma, wit and relentless spirit will make for a dangerous combination.

one unfortunate event that happened this season is that of dallas and his mom. they unexpectedly lost their passport in russia which cost them a fortune. it's also the first time i see that someone from a team had a thing for another person of the other team just like dallas and starr.

let's wait for another exciting season, coming very soon.

..jc tiuseco, 23, basketball player from the san sebastian college was proclaimed as winner in the first season of survivor philippines, he won 3 million pesos worth of cash prize(tax free), a car, and a souvenir ball which symbolizes as the first ever pinoy sole survivor and let's not forget one thing that is sure in pinoy shows, that is a chance to enter show business.

i never really got to watch the filipino version of survivor, considering it was gma7 that got the copyrights, i really wish it was abs-cbn that had it. honestly, the only episode that i watched is the reunion special last sunday.

in the first two weeks of the show, i already knew who won the game. spoilers were already spilled out to some viewers. if you happen to be a fan of the original survivor, you will easily notice that the location where they played, and almost all of the challenges, are all indeed recycled. the original survivor in the u.s. is still as good as ever.

another unbelievable thing that happened with this pinoy version is that there is what they call "boto ng bayan" wherein us, filipinos have a say in the game in case of a tie.

i also can't believe on how much money the pinoy castaways gets when they get home considering the order of their cast-off. i believe in the original version, the second placer gets about $700 to $800 gran. but here, the consolation for the second placer is only 300k pesos, which of course is quite little considering that the sole survivor gets 3m pesos.

it was also this very first season that the sole survivor was also the one who won the car challenge. if you haven't known, never in the original survivor series, has a car winner won the title as sole survivor. that is why they say that the car is a curse.

let's see on how many seasons can they get.

..robert(bob) crowley, 58, the winner of the 17th installment of survivor actually was the last man standing for the kota tribe. he is also the oldest survivor winner to claim the said title. he is one of the unlikeliest winners of the popular reality show survivor. he showed everyone a good strategy in playing the game. he first came to be under the radar, crafted not only one fake immunity idol, but two, and winning not only one, or two, but 5 consecutive challenges which led him to the finals. and aside from the million bucks, thanks to the viewers who loves him so much, he also won an additional $100,000 for being the player of the season.

second placer susie smith, hair-dresser, made it on the final three because she won the last immunity challenge - building a house of cards for 30 mins. whoever has the tallest and stable house of cards win. susie could have actually won the votes for a million bucks if it were for randy's vote to bob. the front runners of the said game was susie and sugar. both had a test from the wind. unfortunately, it was unexpected of susie to win the last immunity challenge, or else the final three could have been matty, sugar and bob.

i have watched survivor from the beginning of the first season and this is one of the exciting season that i have ever watched. this is also the season wherein i can say that the winner is actually really deserving. i have seen him play the game. nasty at one point but good as well. in addition to that, it is also one of the season that the underdogs, somehow outwitted the power players in the merge. also, one of the season where in they had to pick a sole survivor among three players aside from i think survivor: palau.

stay tuned for the next season entitled survivor: tocantins which will premiere on february 12, 2009

..i remembered watching an anime show entitled "remi nobody's girl", a few months back, and a scene touched my heart. it's about a little girl who's mom is very ill, what the girl did was to pray sincerely every night to the virgin mary. until the 100th day came and suddenly, the virgin mary performed a miracle and walked towards the girl and said: my child, your prayer will be granted. and the little girl's mom was healed.

let us believe in miracles. coz miracles does happen in unexpected ways :)

..i remembered watching a pinoy movie, entitled "pido dida". one of the characters(pido) narrated a story, it was a story about a little boy who happens to be all alone by himself; no family nor relatives. one day he was hungry and he has no money to buy food. and so, he climb up a tree and ate the fresh leaves from the tree. he then said to himself that he was so unfortunate due to his current situation. but when he looked down, he saw another child like him; hopeless and has no one, just like him. the child under the tree was eating withered leaves. the reason why he is eating whithered leaves was because he is unable to climb up the tree because he was handicapped. the boy who's up the tree then realized that he was not the most unfortunate due to what he saw.

i guess what i want to point out is that, we should not lose hope for we, are not the most unfortunate of all. we should consider ourselves blessed. but don't forget to be of blessing to others..

Godbless the person who was able to read this story :)
